From Sunday 2 June (Italian Republic Day) the work Disco in forma di rosa del deserto (1993-1994) by Arnaldo Pomodoro will be exhibited in the Cortile d'onore of the Palazzo del Quirinale, Rome."Quirinale contemporaneo" is a project strongly backed by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. From 2 June, Italian Republic Day, works of art, furniture and design objects enter the Casa degli Italiani.
The artistic heritage of the Quirinale is enriched and is thus updated with a significant graft of contemporary Italian art. 36 works by the most important artists - among which there is also Disco in forma di rosa del deserto (1993-1994) by Arnaldo Pomodoro - and 32 objects, conceived by Italian designers and produced by Italian companies, find a stable position in courtyards, salons and gardens of the Palace that houses the Presidency of the Republic.
